I think I might spend the rest of the week and weekend in the hospital cause I have the feeling my kidney disease is relapsing. Gonna head to the ER tonight, and see what they say or try to convince them to take x-rays/etc.

With the way my writing is going, I’m on my deadline to finish writing book three of Bastet’s Daughters in about two weeks. I’ve posted the cover today since I have one now. However, I still have edits to do, and then I’ll give it to my reader to look through to see if she has any comments, or catches any mistakes.

I made some changes to my book titles on Amazon, clearly labeling the books if they’re book one, two, three, etc. Two of the books which weren’t being sold, or read much in Kindle Unlimited, had some activity after I made these changes.

Lesson learned!

Label your books in a clear manner.

This week I hit 25k words in book three of Bastet’s Daughters, which means I have another five weeks of writing before the book is finished. I’m on track to release the third book during the first week of June.

So, my current, and third book, for Bastet’s Daughters is coming along. When I get back to writing tomorrow, I’ll hit my 10k words. By the end of the week, I should be at 15k already.

I also want to add, I haven’t given up on Dyalessia Games. The three women, and their loves, may return for another set of trilogy of novels. Although if they do return, it won’t be until later this year, or some time next year.

Having finished and edited the scenes I needed to finished, I published the last book of this trilogy tonight. It’s already live, and can be found at:

I said I would publish Melody’s and Sarah’s book this week, but I need another week of writing to finish two parts. Besides, I decided not to publish on Easter. I think I’ll have it wrapped up by the end of the week.

As far as I can tell at this point, I should have this last book of Dyalessia Games finished by next week. Most of it has been beta read and edited, which means I don’t have to wait as long on having it sent back to me after the rest of the book is beta read and edited.

As I said last week, there’s a Twitter chat on Sunday night. These are the answers to the questions the host asked tonight.

Introduction Question: Who are you? What novel are you from? And who’s your author?

Answer: Sarah! I’m the owner of Night Readers, a book store/café/computer waystation. Current book is my story about how I meet Melody in book three of Dyalessia Games. Uh, author man over there is my author man.

Question 1: What do you do for a living and where are you from?

Answer: Oops. I gave it away, having said I run/own Night Readers. And originally? I’m from China town in San Fran. I miss my mama and papa since they’re still living in San Fran. At least my aunt and uncle on my ma’s side live where I now live, so I visit them all the time.

Question 2: Who is you sidekick and what is your favorite thing about them?

Answer: I guess it would be my best friend, but at this point I don’t know what her name is since her name is currently (Add name here) in author man’s story. He is lazy about naming people until he is near the end of his work.

Question 3: What are some of the biggest obstacles you’ve had to overcome?

Answer: Snow! I had to find out how much snow falls in the upper half of NY. San Fran does not get dumped on with snow like Rochy does. Meeting new people has been a challenge also even though I have my store. Asians are not something you find a lot of in Rochy.

Question 4: What do you like to do in your free time?

Answer: Gaming, specifically video games. But I also play some table top. I also love to sketch. I have my pad and pencils with me every where I go. Melody and her friends and family will drag me into (redacted!). Oops, author man yelled at me!

Question 5: What is you favorite food and why?

Answer: Rice and veggies. I found out being a vegan in Rochy is a lot more of a struggle than being in San Fran and in China Town. But I’ve found some restaurants where I can order from even if it took a while to find them.

Question 6: If you had a blog, what would you blog about?

Answer: The customers who come into Night Readers. With the way my store is set up, I get a lot of weird people as customers. It doesn’t help that Dyalessia Games, the video game company Melody co-owns, is across the street. So, her employees are part of the weird people. I’d also post the images of my sketches.

Question 7: What do you have to have with you at all times?

Answer: My sketch pad and pencils, as I mentioned. I’ll toss in my set of keys to my car, Night Readers, and my apartment. It would suck to lose the collection of my keys!

Question 8: What makes you unique?

Answer: Um. Uh. I dunno. I guess I could say my height since I’m short. I know! I know! I managed to whip Melody’s butt in one of the Player vs. Player arenas in her own video game. And she designed those arenas! I get to brag about it a lot when I met her in author man’s book.

On Sunday night, there’s a Twitter chat I spend an hour doing with some of the other indie authors. Tonight’s chat was about a character who isn’t a main character in our current work in progress. Below are the questions and answers from the Twitter chat.

Introduction Question: Who are you? What novel are you from? Who’s writing the novel?

Answer: I’m Rain or Rainy. I showed up as an eight year or so in the books involving my cousin because… I wanted to. I was not planned by my author, Scott, and later I’ll also have my own trilogy. In those, I’ll be around twenty years old.

Question: What is your relationship to the main character and how do you feel about them?

Answer: In the second book I showed up in, I befriended the main character and her lap is awesome to snuggle up into since I’m a kid. She’s also one of the mates/wives of my cousin. In my books, I’m the main character. So, it’s all about me. Laughs.

Question: What is the main conflict in the novel and how do you play into that conflict?

Answer: I figure out our home is about to be attacked due to the conflict between my cousin and one of the followers of Eris, the goddess of discord. She’s a right pain in our butts. In my story? All I know is I’m involved in a haunted house.

Question: What is your backstory? How has your author made you a unique character?

Answer: I was born during a powerful thunder storm. Water loves me, so much so that sometimes it decides to dump rain onto me if I get emotional or just because it wants to rain on me. On the other hand, I use water based magic with ease since as I said, water loves me.

Question: Where does you story take place? Do you like living there?

Answer: The family farm. I love everyone there and the land around it, even if my great (something) grandmother is kind of frightening. She’s old school, I’ll devour you if you anger me type. And then there’s the blasted haunted house I have yet to be introduced to.

Question: How do you evolve throughout the story? Do you have any major breakthroughs?

Answer: I do a little, only because of how I become friends with the main character. As I said, her lap is awesome to cuddle in and she lets me ramble on about anything. And plays dolls with me! Later, I grew up and now I want new things.

Question: If you had your own story, what would it be about? Do you know if your author has anything further planned for you?

Answer: I tortured my writer until he gave in to my demands. So yes, I shall return and have my own trilogy! Book one should be out later this year. He insisted he had to finish two other books first. I think he’s stalling! Or he likes my cousin more than me!

Last Question: Name one weird thing about yourself.

Answer: Besides being touched by water? I love my white hair w/ natural blue highlights in it. As I grew up, I let it grow longer so it reaches down to my knees or longer.
