June 27th, 2021…

After this post I’m removing the virus updates. The tracker in my area of NY hasn’t updated since June 21st, so it’s time for me to remove this from my writing status update. If the cases increase, I’ll bring it back.

Book news. I’ve reached 25,300 words of the 40k to 50k in the second story of the Acinonyx. I have about two weeks left to reach the goal I set for this story. After being in the hospital, I spent time added the missing 3k words, plus the 5k I planned this week. I woke the other day with scenes of the 10k short story playing in my head. I know what’s coming after the Acinonyx. Grins. I believe these shorts will be another long one like Cleo & Petra’s turned out to be.

I’ve written 137,579ish words this year towards my 280,000ish goal.

Vella goal: 10,230ish words. I didn’t work on the eight one since I focused on the Acinonyx.

June 20th, 2021…

Virus update. We’ve reached 67,367 known cases and 1,320 dead. This means since last week we’ve had 144 new cases and 11 deaths. This includes the totals from today.

Book news. I’ve reached 17,600 words of the 40k to 50k in the second story of the Acinonyx. Since I spent three days in the hospital, I didn’t make my word count. I’ll do it over the coming week to see if I can get this story on the schedule I planned. The cover designer made the cover for Crimson Rose’s July release and I revealed it to those on my mailing list. I’ll post it on my web page, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram in early July.

I’ve written 129,277ish words this year towards my 280,000ish goal.

Vella goal: 10,230ish words. I wrote half of the seventh one before I visited the hospital. I’ll finish it this week and work on the eighth one. Amazon announced Vella will be live mid-July. I’m working on finishing the twelve to test what might happen before I commit to more.

Book news. I’m publishing Samantha’s 10k short story tonight.

I’ve reached 15,600 words of the 40k to 50k in the second book of the Acinonyx. All six of Gwen’s Vella episodes have been edited and published. Now I want to see what Amazon does with Vella. The cover designer is making the cover for Crimson Rose’s July release. I’ve edited it since it was returned earlier.

Book news. Crimson Rose’s sixth 20k short story is at the editor. Sam’s June 10k word release is formatted, but I’m holding it until next Sunday. This is my usual release time.

I’ve reached 11,600 words of the 40k to 50k in the second book of the Acinonyx. I finished Gwen’s sixth Vella episode. Self edited it. Printed to give to the reader. It’ll be sent to the editor as a bundle once she sends me the request. I have six more of these I planned before I’ll wait to see what Amazon is doing with Vella.

Book news. I’ve finished Crimson Rose’s sixth 20k short story. Self edited it. Gave to the reader. It’ll be sent to the editor this week. The editor finished Sam’s June 10k word release. I’ll go through the editing this week and get it done before I publish it on the second Sunday of June. This is my typical release schedule.

I’ve started part two of the Acinonyx. Added 2,600 words of the 40k to 50k. Since it’s my last long story for the year, I took a break from writing for the week. I hope to return to Gwen’s Vella story, but I’ll have to see if I have the energy. I plan to edit three chapters, or fifteen pages, per day to finish improving Rainy’s third story to finish this year long project.

I’ve written 110,200ish words this year towards my 280,000ish goal.

Vella goal: 6,200ish words. I plan to work on the fifth one this week since I didn’t have time last week. The editor returned the three I sent her and I went through her suggestions.

May 16th, 2021…

Virus update. We’ve reached 65,295 known cases and 1,267 dead. This means since last week we’ve had 1,180 new cases and 5 deaths. This includes the totals from today.

Book news. I’ve reached 19,500 words into Crimson Rose’s sixth 20k short story. I have half a scene left and my July release is done. I plan to self edit, print, and give to the reader once I add the words to finish the scene I started. It won’t be long. I think I might finish it tomorrow.

The cover artist finished Sam’s cover for her June release. I’ll send it in the mailing list I plan to write this week. It’ll be posted on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and my web page later in the month. Those on the mailing list get it before any one. Grins.

I finished editing Rainy’s second story and republished it. Waiting for Amazon to do its thing. The paperback will be done tomorrow. I plan to work on the third story this month. Once I do, this year long project to improve my older stories is done. Woo!

Book news. I’ve reached 13,300 words into Crimson Rose’s sixth 20k short story. I should add another 4k to 5k this week, which means I might finish it this week. If not, it’ll be early the week after.

I’ve reached page 43 of 95 in editing Rainy’s second story. However, I’m going to do six more pages tonight once I finish my website update and videos. I have the suggestions for the third one, and I’ll work on it at the end of May and into June.

Melody & Sarah’s second story for Dyalessia Games will be published tonight.

Book news. I’ve reached 8,800 words into Crimson Rose’s sixth 20k short story. I should add another 4k to 5k this week, which means it’ll be close to being finished.

The editor returned the suggestions for Rainy’s first story. I wrote them in 2018 when I didn’t have the income (due to disability) and resources to hire an editor. For a year she’s helped me go through my older stories and improve them. These three are the last ones we have to do. She sent me the suggestions for book two and I plan to go through it during the week of the 10th through the 16th. Most of May will be spent finishing these three stories. Since I’ve had them edited, I raised the price of the e-book to $3.99 and the paperback for $11.99 to match the prices of my other edited 40k to 50k stories. I’ll do the same with the other two once they’re done.
