November 3rd…

I’m writing my weekly status update early. Daylight Savings messed with my sleep, so I’m awake earlier than usual.

Book two of Elly of Ellyville is about a week or a week and half from being finished. I worked on it all week. This time I added 4,950 words to it. I didn’t hit my 5k goal, but it was a busy week with Halloween and taking care of other life things. I still have a month to finish this story because I plan on publishing it in December. It’ll be finished long before this happens. As for the total word count so far, I’m at 42,000 out of the 50k+ I’d like it to have.

The first story for Crimson Rose (my new series/shorts) is coming along. I’ve reached 15,000 words in it. I’m going to finish this story maybe this week or next. I’m not in a hurry to get it done. I still need a cover, and I might not publish it until next year. This week I added 2,300 words to it. It was another week where I didn’t hit my 2,500 goal, but by Friday I was done.

Gaming news. I finished a play through of The Outer Worlds. It’s a fun game, but I hope they add more content to the setting. There’s a lot of places they can take the story, so I’m hopeing. News from Blizzard came out at Blizzcon about Diablo 4 and the next expansion for Warcraft. I’ve returned to playing Diablo 3. I’m trying to use the greater rift tokens I’ve collected. I have about two hundred more to us. Grins.

Okay. I’m almost heading off to work on self-editing book two of Ellyville once I post this.

October 27th…

Evening all.

It’s time for my weekly writing status. I didn’t write on Tuesday because it was massage day. Anyhow, I still added 4,100 words to book two of Ellyville. This superhero story is almost finished. I think I’ll work on it for another two weeks to reach the 50k+ words I’d like it to have. So far, I’m at 37,000.

My other story is coming along. It’s still nice to write something new. I’ve worked on Dyalessia and World of Bastet’s Daughters for two and a half years. So, coming up with a new idea is refreshing. I didn’t hit my word goal for this story, but I’m not upset about it. I still need a cover made, and I’m not sure what I’m going to do with this/when I’ll publish it. Anyhow, I added 1,700 words to this story.

As for gaming news. I’ve been absorbed with The Outer Worlds. It reminds me of Fallout, but with sci-fi. Still, I’m enjoying this game. This is also why my post is a day late.

Okay. This is everything I have to say this week. I can’t believe it’ll be November when I post my next update.

October 19th…

Another weekend means another writing update. This week I managed to over write book two of Ellyville. So, this next superhero book is coming along. I pushed out 5,200 words. At this time, this book is at 32,000 words out of the 50,000+ I’d like it to have. It should be finished in about four weeks. However, I don’t need it until December because I’m releasing Heather’s and Sasha’s book for Dyalessia Friends in November.

Once I finish Elly’s Tales book two, I plan on taking most of November and December off/slowing down until the new year. There’s to many holidays and family things happening for the rest of the year.

My other story, I’m still not sure what I’m going to do with because it’s not connected to Dyalessia or the World of Bastet’s Daughters. However, it’s nice to write something new. I’ve lived in Dyalessia or Bastet’s world since 2017, which means all my books have expanded those settings. So far, I’ve hit 11,000 words in this new story. I admit, I didn’t write my 500 words for it on Friday but during the week I added 2,400 words. I’m not upset about the missing 100 words.

I’m not sure if people noticed, but I’ve been posting more of images on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest of the things I’m baking or cooking. I figured I’d use my culinary degree for something. Grins.

Gaming news. I’m still playing Borderlands 3, but I’m tired of it now. It’s an okay game, but the replay value isn’t there for me. I’ve gone back to working on Diablo 3. I’m still trying to make my way to the 700th paragon levels.

However, The Outer Worlds comes out next week, so I might be playing this instead.

All right. I have nothing more to report for what I did throughout the week.

October 13th…

I added 4,900 words to my second story for Ellyville. This week was a first one in a while where I managed to write all week. I didn’t hit my word goal of 5k, but I was close. Feeling the aches and pains of the changes outside makes it hard to get my words done. I’m at 27,000 words and I’d like to be close to my usual 50,000 when finished, which means I have about four weeks left of writing to do.

I plan on uploading the cover for book two of Ellyville after posting this update since the cover artist finished it.

My other story is coming along. I still don’t have a word goal in mind, so when it feels done is when I’ll end it. However, I’ve written 8,800 words into it so far.

Hello October…

Another weekend, another writing update.

I hit my 4k word count on book two of Elly’s Tales: Ellyville. As I said last week, I didn’t plan on writing on Tuesday. Next week I’ll have half the book written. I also talked with the cover artist. So, things are progressing.

My other story is coming along, but I’m still debating what I want to do with it. Anyhow, it’s at 6k words with this weeks writing. I’m eager to see what the cover artist designs for this series.

Oh, tomorrow (Sunday) I plan on publishing the prequel book for Bastet’s Daughters/Rainy Days/Cleo & Petra. I’ll finish the paperback once the e-book is live.

All right, there’s not much else I have to say.

September 29th…

September is almost over? Where did this month go? Argh. The end of the year always feels like it rushes by. This week wasn’t a good one for my writing. I had days where I felt horrible, so I either skipped writing my word count or wrote enough to finish a scene, but not hit my daily words. Plus, I know book two of Ellyville doesn’t need to be finished until December, so I’m slacking off on it.

My second play through of Borderlands 3 is going well. The same bugs I found a week ago are still there. Sigh. But I guess they’re working on fixing the major problems before tackling these other “minor” bugs. I’m kind of disappointed in this game, knowing it took so long to make and it has this many problems.

Anyhow, I hit about 3,900 words in the second book of Ellyville. I think this week or next I’m going to talk to the cover artist and see if she can work on my cover. My other project is coming along. I still don’t have a word count on this one, so whatever the length is, I’ll figure it out when it’s done. Grins.

The prequel story for Bastet’s Daughter/Rainy Days/Cleo & Petra is coming next weekend. October 6th. In November I’ll release Heather’s and Sasha’s story for Dyalessia Friends. December is Ellyville. After this, I’ll figure out what I want to work on next year. I have ideas, but I’m not sure which will be first.

All right. This is everything for this week. I hope to hit my word count goals this upcoming week. Well, not on Tuesday because I don’t plan on writing. It’s massage day, and I so need it. Been hurting so much.

September 22nd, 2019…

All right. Time to get my weekly writing status posted. I’ve been absorbed with Borderland 3 still, so I’ve been neglecting my updates.

Let’s start this off with Heather’s and Sasha’s story is finished. I’ve self-edited it, and sent it to my reader to look it over. Her corrections are done. However, I think I’m holding this story until November. The prequel story for my urban fantasy/romance series is going to be published in October.

I’ve rotated book two of Ellyville into my 1k words a day story. I’ve hit 14k of the 50k to 60k I’d like this story to have. I have about six weeks to finish it. I also need to talk with my cover designer to get this made.

Beyond everything else going on, I started a new story. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with this one, but it is another series I’ve been thinking about. These two other series are something I’m going to work on when I have ideas for them, so they’ll be published whenever I have a new one finished.

September 15th…

I only finished 4k words in Heather’s and Sasha’s story this week. Tuesday was massage day, and I wasn’t going to write after getting a massage. Anyhow, I have half a scene left to write and this book is done. I’m thinking it’ll be finished by Wednesday.

I’m still plugging along with book two of my superhero series. This week I didn’t write much in it, but I’m going to rotate it into my 1k words a day schedule, which means I’ll finish it in about six weeks.

Okies. I don’t have anything more to say this week. It’s been a frustrating week, having to figure out my plans about certain things. One good thing about the week is Greedfall and Borderlands 3 came out, so I’ve been obsessed with playing Borderlands 3. Greedfall was fun for a few days, but I wanted to play Borderlands more than the new roleplaying game.

September 7th…

It feels like this week flew. I can’t believe it’s the weekend already. Anyhow, time to write a writing update.

Tomorrow (Sunday) I’m putting the trilogy collection of Rainy’s three books for sale on Amazon.

Heather’s and Sasha’s story for Dyalessia Friends is almost finished. I have about three scenes I want to include, which I hope to finish this week. I’ve hit 44,000 words and I’d like this story to have 50,000 to 60,000. This week I added 5,055, but it took all my power to do it. I like it being autumn but it doesn’t like me. So, I had days where my aches caused me to want to stay in bed or do nothing.

I’ve also started the self-edits for this story. I completed half of them so far. I plan to do more of them after this post or tomorrow (Sunday). I’m hoping the editor will send me the first round of edits for the prequel novel this week. My start date for this was the 1st, and it should take about ten days for the editor to complete everything. I haven’t heard anything different, so I’m assuming this is still the case.

The second book of my superhero series, Elly of Ellyville, is coming along. I’ve hit 10,000 words in it. This week, due to the health problems, I didn’t hit my word goal. Still, this book doesn’t need to be finished right away, so I’m okay with this. This week I added 2,340 out of the 2,500 goal.

I’ve also decided after I finish the second superhero book I’m going to slow down for the year. This will be the last novel I complete, and my focus is going to be on the short stories I want to complete. I have ten more to write for Cleo & Petra, and another series I’d like to focus on. Plus, the holidays are coming, so things are going to get crazy. So, writing these short stories in two or four weeks means I don’t have to work as hard.
