Another weekend, another writing update.

I finished the last round of edits for Cleo’s and Petra’s second short story, so I plan on publishing it tomorrow (Sunday). I have to write the blurb/summary, which I think I’m going to do after I finish this update.

Heather’s and Sasha’s story is coming along. I added 5,100 words to it this week. So far, this story is at 29,000 words of the 50,000+ I’d like it to have.

Elly of Ellyville book two is also coming along. I skipped working on it on Friday because I was drained, but I didn’t mind because I was only 90 words off from my goal of adding 2,500 words. So far, I’ve hit 4,600 words done in this book.

The prequel book is still waiting for a slot with the editor, which won’t happen until September.

Okay. I believe this is everything for the week. I’ll return next week with another update.

Time for another writing status update.

I wrote 2,200 words for book two of Elly of Ellyville. I wanted to hit 2,500 but by Friday, I was done so I skipped adding my 500 words. Still, I’m happy with 2,200. Besides, this book doesn’t need to be finish right away because I have two other 50k to 60k books finished or half finished, plus a short story.

However, I didn’t neglect my five days of writing for my main book. So, I added 5,300 words to Heather’s and Sasha’s story. I’m on target to reach my goal of finishing this in September, I believe.

Cleo & Petra’s second short story is in the finishing touches of editing. We’re giving it round three to see if there’s any remaining fixes. I should have this returned to me tomorrow (Monday.)

The cover for Heather’s and Sasha’s story is being created, and I think I can see what it looks like soon.

All right, this is everything I wanted to share for this week.

 

It’s August third, and the weekend, which means I need to write a new post on where I am in my writing.

This week wasn’t a good week. I had a scare which I thought might be a kidney stone. I spent two trips in the hospital emergency rooms until a doctor answered what was happening. Turns out my massage on Tuesday caused muscle spasms. So, I’ve been dealing with the pain since Wednesday.

Cleo & Petra’s second short story has been put through one round of edits. The editor can’t look at this story again until the seventh of August. I also sent the editor the finished story for The Event, but it won’t be looked at until September.

Heather’s and Sasha’s book is moving along. I only did 4,300 words this week because of the health problems. Still, this story is at 19,000 words of the 50,000 to 60,000 I’d like it to have.

I plan on Monday to returning to doing my 1k and 500 word counts. I’m going to start book two of Elly of Ellyville as the new 500 words a day story.

The last bit of news I have is I’ve uploaded the revised covers or the new covers to Pinterest and Facebook. I did this on my web page a while ago.

Weekend means another writing status update.

I added about 5,200 words to Heather’s and Sasha’s story for Dyalessia Friends. This story is about 14,700 words done out of the 50k to 60k I’d like it to have. It’s moving along, so I’m happy.

Cleo and Petra’s second short story is slotted for the first round of edits on July 31st. I hope to have it returned to me by the end of the week. If it was like the first short story, I might have to make three passes to correct what the editor thinks I should fix.

Been a busy weekend, so didn’t get a chance to write my writing status until now.

I hit my 5k words written for the week in Heather’s and Sasha’s book in Dyalessia Friends. So, this story is about 10k words into the 50k I’d like it to have.

Cleo & Petra’s second short story is in the hands of the editor. I’ve self-edited the prequel novel and fixed the errors the reader noticed. When the editor gets a slot open, I plan on sending this story.

I’m pleased to announce Cleo & Petra’s first short story has been revised and edited beyond the self-editing I’ve been doing for all my stories. Part two is in the hands of the editor, but it won’t be worked on until July 30th.

Once we’re happy with the editing, I’ll publish it. I hope this might happen in August.

I’m hoping to work with the editor to go through my other stories and revise/edit them, but this is still a work in progress.

I took a day off to relax yesterday, so I didn’t post my weekly writing status until now.

I’m working on round two of editing Cleo & Petra’s first short story. I scheduled handing part two to the editor for next week.

Tuesday I skipped working on my writing because I had a massage. Anyhow, I still hit close to my 5k words for the week. I believe I finished the prequel book, and I’m working on self-editing it.

Next week it’s back to working on Heather and Sasha’s story.

Wow, July’s here already? June went by way to fast.

There’s not much to report this week. I’ve hit my 5k word goal. Most of this writing was spent in finishing more of the prequel book to Bastet’s Daughters/Rainy Days. I think I may complete this novel this week.

Otherwise, the first short story for Cleo & Petra is still with the editor I’m working with to help me write better novels. I believe I should get this returned to me on Wednesday. After I go through the changes, I’ll upload the new version, and talk with the editor to see when I can send another story to them.

Okies. This all I have to report this week.

All right. I’ve made changes to my web page, adding pages for the new books I’m writing  or finished.

I finished writing the 10k second short story for Cleo & Petra. I plan on releasing it next Sunday on the 7th of July.

The prequel novel is at 40k words, so I have two weeks or four weeks left on this one, depending if I do 1k words or 500 words a day.

I’m going to return to Heather and Sasha’s story, which means I’ll hit 10k words in this one by the end of next week.

With this said. I’m shopping for a different editor. It happens. Sometimes there’s creative differences.

Heya. It’s the weekend which means I need to write my weekly writing status.

I think I might have finished the second short story for Cleo and Petra. I’m waiting to hear what my reader thinks because I’m debating about adding another scene or not. Anyhow, if I do it won’t take me long. I’ve also self-edited this story over the weekend. It’ll be handed to the editor soon.

Otherwise, I’m still working on the prequel novel for my Bastet’s Daughters/Rainy Days series. I’m trying to finish this story before moving on to writing more of Heather’s and Sasha’s story or any of the others I’ve been thinking about or writing.

I did stick with my goal of writing 5k words for the week, so yay!

I’m also hoping to get round one of Rainy’s first book returned to me this week from the editor. Kind of anxious to see what changes I might have to make once she’s done going through this first book.
